Welcome to the collection of Polymers Biopolymers Surfaces laboratory
The laboratory Polymers Biopolymers Surfaces (PBS) is a research laboratory of the University of Rouen Normandy associated to CNRS and INSA of Rouen.
PBS is associated to "L’Ecole Doctorale Normande de Chimie (EDN 508)" and to the inter-regional research federation, FR 3038 CNRS - INC3M (Institut Normand de Chimie Moléculaire, Macromoléculaire et Médicinal). This structure welcomes teacher/researchers from the University of Rouen and INSA of Rouen, researchers from CNRS, engineers, technicians and administrative staff from University and CNRS, PhD students and master students. Periodically, the laboratory welcomes also national or international researchers and interns for short visits.
The laboratory Polymers, Biopolymers, Surfaces is under the direction of Thierry JOUENNE, research director from CNRS.
The scientific project of the lab is focused on three thematic orientations:
- Cells-surfaces interactions
- Transport properties through and by polymers
- Biomaterials

The PBS lab is constituted of 5 research teams whose activities are separated in 2 axes - "Polymers and Living" and "Polymer Materials"
- Axe Polymers and Linig: team BIOMMAT, team BRICS, team SCC
- Axe Polymer Materials: team MM, team MPBM
